This is more a review of the seller than the actual product...
The cable wasn't doing what I wanted to do, I wasn't sure if it was the cable or the function, so I emailed the vendor. They replied 20 minutes later (7 p.m.), and offered me a replacement or a refund.
I took the replacement, which arrived two days later, and, as requested, notified them that it still wasn't doing anything.
They then refunded me.
So although this item obviously wasn't the one I needed, I would unreservedly buy from this vendor again if they are selling what I require in future.
With regard to why it possibly didn't work for me: my understanding is that this is (probably) a dual link DVI connection, and my setup seems to call for a single link DVI (has 18 pins instead of 24, as far as I can tell). This vendor doesn't sell that cable so I am having to try elsewhere, otherwise I would have ordered it from them.
So before you buy, check whether you need the 18 or the 24 pin version of the DVI plug.

This was absolutely shocking because first of all they sent me a email last Sunday saying my order has been dispatched through royal mail when royal mail do not even open on a Sunday. Today is Monday and I have still yet to recieve my order, this is just really disgraceful. I would not recommend anyone buy from this seller, its a CON! thank you very much for taking my few quid and not even delivering my goods. Poor service and it's not even worth the 1 star I gave it!
Solid Hook Up That Does The Job Well August 9, 2010

Bought this cable to hook up a second monitor to my workstation for design tasks.
It's a solid cable and I had no problems connecting the monitor to the hdmi port on my gfx card.
Delivery was also fairly quick so all in all I am pleased with the purchase.

I purchased this cable to connect the HDMI output from a BT Vision box to the DVI input on a Samsung monitor. It worked a treat and still allows me to use the VGA input to connect to a laptop (autosenses input). Good quality and great value for money!
