Another very high quality product from Panasonic August 9, 2010 OZ6969 After spending a few months reviewing the market leading LCD TV's online and repeatedly pestering the staff in Currys, Comet and a few other leading electrical stores for performance demonstrations, I eventually bought a 50 inch LG TV which up until recently I was very happy with.
A couple of months later I was looking for a TV for a family member for their birthday and came across this panasonic model at a friends house. What a contrast! Every aspect of this model made my expensive LG look quite ordinary. Everything from the viera enhanced picture quality to the rapid response of the TV's interactive menu's just blew my LG away.
In short, this is an extremely affordable, very versatile and very high performance LCD TV and I can't think of anything negative to say about it.
When looking online at other more "professional" reviews it appears that even the experts have trouble picking holes in this one. I Highly recommend this product
Excellent price, good television July 19, 2010 G J Berry (Newburgh, Cupar, Fife United Kingdom) I bought this television as an end of line, because the latest version had suffered a factory recall. However, I'm very pleased with it. The viewing angle is superb - the best you'll get of any brand - and the picture quality when fed with an external HD signal is superb. The panel is not LED backlit, which is a shame, but the quality is still good. My only criticism would be that SD broadcasts aren't scaled up as well as they could be, but the main problem with SD broadcasting is of course the digital compression which causes fuzziness and poor colour rendition.
Excellent television for the price I paid.
Great TV July 10, 2010 Christopher Hetherington I recently bought this TV after my old style Goodmans died. I put in plently of research and compared prices in many stores and found this one to be the best value. The TV is simple to set up and use and provides a good quality picture. My only criticism is that from time to time an automatic update of channels is offered on the freeview. When this is complete some channels disappeared until the next update. Other than this I would definitely recommend this TV.
Great TV June 26, 2010 Mr. D. Ney Got this TV just over 7 months ago to replace a just under 7 year old 26inch Sharp LCD that had starting playing up. Freeview Picture is very good. Also got a Tesco brand Freeview HD box other week and the Freeview HD channels look great on the TV.
Sound is also very good on most channels.
TV cost us about £500 at the time we got it just over 7 months ago and its a far better TV then the Sharp LCD TV we had before that.
Terrific choice for us June 19, 2010 Chevy (Teddington, UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We have just moved back from the USA so were looking for a quality but reasonably priced flatscreen TV for our home. The reviews of this Panasonic had been very good and as we didn't need a super new model, this ticked all the boxes for us. Delivery was made next day as promised, the TV was easy to set up and looks great. Picture quality on HD is very impressive, would that all programs were being transmitted this way! Would highly recommend.
